Essential Care is a family business run by Margaret, Colin and daughter Abi and based near Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Margaret started researching Essential Care formulations back in the 1980's, motivated by the lack of products suitable for her family's sensitive and eczema-prone skin. She set about creating truly effective formulations that were based only on organic herbs, plant oils and phytobotanicals.
Essential Care is now a European leader in organic skincare. They only use organic, virgin, cold-pressed plant oils to avoid any contamination from pesticides and to ensure they retain their full antioxidant vitamin content to help nourish and protect from premature ageing.

Each Essential Care product is certified organic by the Soil Association, which sets the highest standard for health & beauty in the world. Wherever possible the raw materials that Essential Care use are sourced locally from sustainable and renewable sources. None of the packaging is air-freighted and is sourced from either the UK or Europe.
None of their products are tested on animals and they have won an RSPCA award for their commitment to animal welfare. All Essential Care products are suitable for vegetarians and most are suitable for vegans.
