To provide allergy sufferers with the reassurance they need, Allergy UK has different product schemes to provide guidance on "allergy friendly" products.
Allergy UK provides information and support to those with allergies and intollerances and provides ongoing social and medical research in the causes and impact of allergies.
Product approvals include:
Seal of Approval for products which can be or have been independently scientifically tested to prove they reduce the presence of allergens or clinically tested on people with sensitive skin and proven to be suitable.
and
Allergy Friendly Product Award for products that are assessed by a relevant health care specialist such as a dermatologist. These products are ‘unlikely to cause a reaction’ and ‘may be of benefit’ when used by an allergy sufferer.
