Cradle to cradle design refers to a whole-life approach to the design, manufacture, use and disposal of products.
For a product to meet the cradle to cradle (C2C) requirements its makers must demonstrate that its "before", "during" and "after" life all meet strict criteria governing its raw materials and their production; energy, water and social responsibility criteria for the production of the product and its disposal or recyclability must also be demonstrated.
Method, whose range of natural, non-toxic cleaning products we are proud to carry, was recently endorsed as a Cradle to Cradle company. Method says that this endorsement shows that running a company in an environmentally intelligent way is just as important as making a green product.
