Kilowatt hour is a unit of energy and is commonly used by electricity companies to show how much electricity has been consumed.

Kilowatt hour is abbreviated kWh.

If you have used 2 kilowatts of electricity for 5 hours then you will have consumed 10 kWh (2 x 5) of energy.
