Sodium Lauryl Sulphate

Commonly found in body and bath products Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) is used for its ability to form lather and for its ability to thicken products.  As with Parabens, SLS has a long history of safe use but more recently concerns have been raised of its use.  Reports have suggested that those with sensitive skin may find their troubles may be worsened using SLS and that generally prolonged exposure, particularly in the young, can irritate the skin.
