Why do I think green is good?

Common sense and pragmatism.

Like most of us, I'm not a zealot or a radical. I just think that it makes sense. Why smear chemicals on your skin? Why eat insecticides? Why not save energy where you can? It's just the common sense thing to do. And even if you aren't sure about global warming and climate change isn't it just the sensible approach to say "well if I cut back I'll be helping improve things one way or another"?
