Earth Friendly Products, maker of green household cleaners, has given $3000 to each of five breast cancer charities located near to the company’s manufacturing plants in America.

Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, vice president of the company, said; "I can’t say enough about the important work performed by breast cancer charities. Their efforts deserve the greatest recognition. The direct support they provide in their communities is critical to all those who are fighting this disease."

The five charities supported include the 60 mile long Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walk (there’s also a shorter 5k run, pictured above) and the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation.

Kelly lost her mother to breast cancer and is now urging all towards a greater awareness of the disease, the need to support local breast cancer organisations, and also an awareness of the dangers of chemical laden household cleaning products.
