The massive refurbishment of the Regal, after years of lying abandoned and closed, will see it re-open as a cinema with a roof-top restaurant, two bars and a function room. Films will range from blockbusters to classics, family favourites to art house.

Ecover got involved in February, after hearing that a member of the restoration team had used Ecover Multi-Surface Cleaner to remove years of dirt from the beautiful Art Deco wallpaper without damaging it.

Ecover’s cleaning products are made from plant and mineral based ingredients which are gentle on the environment but still tough on dirt and stains. Ecover was happy to provide the Regal with cleaning products, aprons and clothes as well as helping hands.

Emma Bennetts, brand manager at Ecover, said: "When we heard about the project we were really excited that our products were being used by the team at The Regal Cinema to preserve such an important part of the interior.

"We thought it was fantastic that the local community are right behind the restoration of the venue for people to enjoy once again. We wanted to get involved and do more to help than just give away products."
