The fringe is getting bigger by the day – thanks to stars including Michelle Obama, Lily Allen and the Duchess of Cambridge!
Mrs Obama has been looking particularly spectacular of late with her bang-on-trend blunt fringe – they call it “bangs” in the USA.
Danielle Lineker, writing in the Daily Mirror, has been getting some tips on how to make a fringe work for you. Although we note she doesn’t actually sport one herself…
Anyway, Danielle writes: “My hairdresser Joseph Bilton, who works at the Daniel Galvin Junior salon in London’s Belgravia, explained that Lily Allen’s chunky fringe is a very modern look that generally suits younger, slimmer faces and can be quite unforgiving.
“Joseph said to avoid this type of fringe if you have fine hair as it won’t sit flat – it is best suited to thick locks.”
Apparently a casual, side-swept fringe is easier to manage with most face shapes.
However Danielle is a big fan of Mrs Obama’s fringe, describing it as “very sexy and “a good option for the more mature woman”.
