December the 7th 2009 cannot arrive fast enough for all of us at BigGreenSmile when all the leading ministers from 192 countries will meet to discuss the major issues facing the planet.
How do we reduce our carbon emissions to prevent catastrophic rise in global temperatures whilst making it work for all countries involved to gain the necessary buy in to any agreements made?
How do we create clear and reachable goals to massively reduce emissions by 2050? With experts quoting a reduction of 50% carbon emissions is required to restrain global warming there is a lot to do.
The negotiations required to satisfy both the developed and developing countries will prove to be the crux of any potential new agreement. More countries need to buy in to the required targets with both the USA and China having a massive part to play in the required change.
Let’s hope they get it on!
