Tell Brits how they can fight climate change, says Alan TitchmarshClimate change scientists and politicians need to make the public aware of what can be done to fight global warming, Alan Titchmarsh has said.

The celebrity gardener and TV presenter, who can currently be seen fronting ITV's Popstar to Operastar alongside Myleene Klass, claimed that people in Britain are fed up of being told they are harming the planet.

Instead, he urged environmental experts to keep Britons better informed on the subject and let them know how they can reduce their environmental impact.

"We all know what we shouldn't do - drive unnecessarily, waste energy," he told the Express. "Now we want to know the positive things we can do like planting things and improving the environment."

Mr Titchmarsh's comments come after a report from the UN's climate change committee, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, was criticised for containing factual errors.

The study claimed that glaciers in the Himalayas will melt by 2035, but this has since been found to be untrue.ADNFCR-2539-ID-19577710-ADNFCR
