British Gas has a scheme running where if you get them to insulate your home you will get a rebate of up to £125 in council tax. That's a good way to save energy and there are plenty of others. For example, you could install automatic radiator bleeding valves or save electricity using a standby kit to switch off those power-hungry electric appliances.
