A collection of large companies are helping their employees in the UK lead more sustainable lives through the launch of Insulate Today.
The scheme brings together the group of leading businesses with Sainsbury's Energy and Act on CO2 to make it easier and more appealing for a quarter of a million people to make energy savings and reduce their impact on the environment.
Insulate Today is a collaborative effort from Accenture, Aviva, HSBC, Sainsbury's, Act on CO2, the
Energy Saving Trust and EDF Energy.
The government recently revealed that the energy used in homes across the country accounts for around a quarter of the UK's total CO2 emissions.
The company's commitment to the initiative will demonstrated by providing exclusive insulation offers to employees and using additional incentives to encourage employees to take up these offers, according to the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
In related news, the government recently announced that its boiler scrappage scheme has reached its target of 125,000 homes.
