Ecover and Natalie Imbruglia partner for World Toilet DayEcover has called on Natalie Imbruglia to join it in highlighting the issues of safe sanitation and water supply.

The Belgian natural cleaning products manufacturer is supporting World Toilet Day today (November 19th 2009), which seeks to raise awareness of the 2.5 billion people who have no access to the "humble yet essential bathroom fixture".

Australian songstress Imbruglia has done her bit for the campaign by teaming up with Ecover for a video which discusses the environmental importance of having a safe water supply.

The ex-Neighbours star and singer of Torn said: "I was delighted to work with Ecover to create this film. There's often an abundance of water in the UK, so it's easy to forget the very real issues of water shortage and pollution."

Ecover added that supporting World Toilet Day compliments its three-year partnership with WaterAid. In the run-up to the day, WaterAid has announced that washing hands with soap and water after going to the toilet cuts diarrhoeal disease by 40 per cent.ADNFCR-2539-ID-19467805-ADNFCR
