Natural sun care could be an important part of a summer beauty regime as ladies look to ensure that they do not suffer from premature aging of the skin, or worse.
One beauty queen contestant has warned women not to be careless when they are sunbathing, after she developed skin cancer at the age of just 24.
Amy Hills, who is a Miss York finalist, told the Daily Mail that she used to regularly top up her artificial tan and never used sun cream, but was "horrified" when she discovered that a mole on her arm was cancerous.
While the disease was caught in time and has not spread, the experience has led her to issue a warning about not taking precautions in the sun.
"The doctors said they were sure it was it was my sunbed sessions and sunbathing without lotion that had led to this," Ms Hills said.
When looking to top up their tan, ladies should always ensure that they put on the correct level of sun cream as in addition to the cancer risk, the summer can cause the skin to age.
Melvita advises using its Rose Floral Water spray as part of an after-sun beauty care regime, as it deeply moisturises and perfumes the skin.
