Tom's of Maine renews commitment to natural skin care

TomA top-three placing in the Green Brands survey has led Tom's of Maine to reassert its commitment to natural skin care.

The cosmetics brand admits in a blog post that "we can't help but wonder what it will take to get to number one" after being placed in bronze position on the virtual podium.

However, a commitment to "making safe and effective natural products" is reasserted as the company looks to the future.

Already the natural skin care developer has ranked in third place in two consecutive instalments of the annual survey.

This recognises its support of sustainable packaging, natural ingredients and donation of profits to Earth-friendly initiatives, it says.

Consumers in the UK had the greatest level of input into the 2010 survey, which was the largest conducted in the history of the Green Brands project.

They provided 1,201 of the 9,022 opinions submitted - one more than the US contribution of 1,200 interviews.ADNFCR-2539-ID-800042846-ADNFCR
