Weleda is natural beauty brand The term natural beauty may be overused in the world of ethical goods, but one brand in particular can take credit from its range of products, according to Kate Shapland of Red magazine.

There may be no explicit standards or regulations as to what can or cannot be labelled 'natural' and many will still contain synthetic materials.

However, natural beauty firm Weleda is demonstrating its commitment to ethical produce, Ms Shapland says.

Founded 80 years ago on biodynamic principles, six Weleda products have won awards from the well-respected Green Beauty Bible by Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley.

Ms Fairley recognised the company's achievements, saying: "It's a stellar achievement for Weleda products to feature in our books. With results based on the opinions of over 7,500 women, this is unquestionably the biggest consumer test of beauty products ever carried out."

The awards went to Weleda's Skin Food, Wild Rose Night Cream, Wild Rose Intensive Facial Masque, Lavender Creamy Body Wash, Foot Balm and Birch Cellulite Oil.ADNFCR-2539-ID-19652443-ADNFCR
