Australian Organics Shampoo is available in three fragrances suited to different hair types.

  • Australian Organics hydra stabilising shampoo for normal hair with essential oils clary, sage, lime & lavenderspike.
  • Australian Organics body maximising shampoo for fine / limp hair with 6 pro-vitamins and essential oils of geranium, lavender and lemon.

In order to achieve the best possible outcome for better looking and condition of your hair, it is important to understand the fundamental technical aspects of hair and scalp nutrition and treatments. A close-up of a single hair shaft resembles overlapping scales. When the scales are sealed, the hair shaft appears smooth and shiny. When the scales are open, the hair appears rough and porous.

For better looking hair, Australian Organics go for even smoothness of the hair shaft from root to tip. This is achieved by careful cleansing of the roots and correct conditioning, moisturising and sealing of the hair itself.

Hair is made up of about 97% protein and 3% water. As hair is far more fragile when wet, gentle cleansers are necessary to avoid damage and breakage to hair shafts.

As part of the process to achieve healthy hair and scalp, Australian Organics use a formulation developed with mild cleansers usually only found in professional salon products (no SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulphates) together with Plant Proteins and Organic Plant Extracts (improves lustre, moisture retention and manageability), Almond Glycerides (water soluble, powerful humectants that silken, moisturise and improve manageability), Horsechestnut Extract (improves blood circulation to the scalp), and Provitamins.

Provitamins

At the molecular level, the Australian Organics provitamin mix strengthens cells and assists new cell generation. Hair is made of structural proteins called keratin, which are long chain molecules composed of eighteen different amino acids. Vitamins are organic compounds necessary for normal functioning of the body. The lower molecular weighted provitamins are small enough to penetrate cells for substantive moisturising, thereby adding body to each hair shaft. The higher molecular weighted proteins affix themselves to the outside of the hair shaft forming monomolecular layers that provide a cushion effect for added hair bounce and promote shine and silkiness.

Just used one of the shampoos I bought and it is just great - hair is fabulous!
Seems to work on very sensitive scalps.
I use it because it has been the the best one I've found for cradle cap and hypersensitive skin. The peppermint oil in it soothes and the condition of my hair has improved. Not so dry and itchy. I would recommend it for people who is allergic to chemicals and has cradle cap or exzema.
I have very fine hair. The shampoo gives it volume and a lovely fresh perfume.

Use daily for fine hair. Product as good as mainstream shampoo - unfortunately same can't be said for all organic products.
Only used once feels great! Left beaut feeling soft and with volume. Prefer iTunes more than other organic shampoo and coditioner I've used before.
Product is great. I suffer with itchy and oily fine hair and these products make it feel thicker and feel great.

I am blown away by how good this is and pretty much instantly rushed out to get the conditioner by the same brand. Harder to lather than conventional shampoos, but just so much better, no itchy scalp, great smell, leaves fabulous shine on hair. Even need to wash hair less often by using this product.
Product recommended for my wife by her hairdresser to be used every other day. It is too early to make a complete assessment, but it seems to be very satisfactory.
Nothing else comes close to improving the texture and appearnace of my hair. This is an excellent product which does exactly what it says it does.
Iuse as may everyday shampoo it dosen't make my hair feel lank and the colour hasn't faded

This seems to be the only brand that I can use daily on my scalp without any irritation to it. I also prefer the fact that there are less harmful ingredients in the product than a lot of high street/supermarket bought shampoo and conditioners - less is more in this case!! I always recommend Australian Organics and the Big Green Smile whenever I can.
Great product for me. I have shoulder length, fine (but lots of it) highlighted hair. Washes well and has a lovely smell. I can use this every day and my hair does not get dried out.
On wet hair medium amount lathers quite well.Good quality product,smells real and alive.Would recommend to family.

SHAMPOO for normal hair, i would recommend it for all the family. My hair has been through alot of chemical treatment lately and this shampoo is kind, gentle but does the job

My family and I use the product daily to wash our hair. I would recommend the product to all. The quality of the product is very good, so that my six year old daughter can use it as well as myself and my wife.

Product quality excellent. I have thick but fine hair which just goes flat with most shampoos - this one gives it body and shine without the need for other products.
I like this shampoo, particularly the Peppermint oil in it which I find calms the itching down due to a sensitive scalp and suffering with Cradle cap. The Peppermint oil calms my scalp right down and I don't have any nasty side effects. I have been using this shampoo and its colleague the conditioner for 3 years or more, and never had any bad effects from it. I would recommend it for anybody. I am really pleased with it.
Fabulous shampoo at such a good price. Didnt want to use parabens slg's and sls's anymore - my mature hair was really feeling the strain. Hair now shiny and healthy looking- i even take this and my conditioner to my posh hairdressers because I dont want them to strip my hair of its natural oils etc.
This is my all time favourite shampoo. My hair is shiny and looks really healthy. People have even commented how good my hair looks! It has also strengthened my hair. i would def recommend this product.

The product I wanted was not available (not sure if it is being made any more) so I have bought this to see whether it is a viable replacment, haven't used it yet, but am confident it will be good quality.
A slightly chemical smell but doesnt last when your hair is dry. Cleans well without any residue.
I wanted another product but unavailable so this is an OK substitute.
I've used it twice and am pleased with the results. My hair feels quite soft and doesn't frizz as much as it can with some products - but it still has a lot of bounce and life to it. The smell is quite strong and aromatic. I quite like it but I think some might think it is a bit too much like a disinfectant - but actually I have found that my hair doesn't smell strongly at all afterwards.

I love the smell from the essential oils and it works great! Gives hair volume and shine.
only used it once but like it so far. it left my hair feeling clean afterwards but not stripped of all the oil.
This has been my absolute favourite for years. I'm sensitive to SLS*, and this doesn't have them. Many products also weigh my hair down - this (the volumising one) works to give me more volume.
