Even using more natural washing up liquid I was having to add it neat to each dish to get good cleaning results. I found my 'eco dish washing routine' a bit awkward at first anyway but had gotten use to it. I purchased this ages ago, waiting until I'd used up the liquid soaps I had. Its not the most ethical but I currently use a microfiber sponge (after being given them), I soak the sponge, squeeze out excess water then rub it over the surface of the Loofco soap bar. I then use it to rub over the surface of each dish, and rise. For more oily residue I do this more than once. This is totally different to filling a basin and sloshing about. I just use the basin to fill with the rinsing water and maybe presoak. I'm in a soft water area and cant say I've noticed much residue build up. I've actually come here to stock up on several more bars for my pantry store and to gift to family trying to create less waste. Its a game changer for me. I'm delighted. Wish I'd found it sooner.

Was looking forward to trying this and ditching the plastic bottles, but I'm a bit disappointed. It's OK for lightly soiled pots/glasses/mugs/cutlery etc, but has very poor degreasing quality for more heavily soiled pots and pans. Also leaves a white scummy residue around the bowl and sink. I'll be sticking with regular washing-up liquid for the moment.
