Lovely product
I had this sent as a sample from Dr Organic customer services and I was surprised at what a good lotion it is. It said for use all over the body but I decided to try it on my face when I was in a rush to go out and could not find my usual cream. I found it really good and it has this lovely cooling effect on the skin, so when used around the eyes it does tone nicely. I put some on my hands too, and it was a nice lotion though for me, it works best on the face.

Softness Without A Heavy Smell
Dry skin happens to everyone, but guys sometimes have trouble because lotions have fragrance. I want my skin not to crack, but I don't want to smell like a room full of flowers.This lotion has a mild scent of roses, but I'd say it just smells clean. When I wore it, the spouse immediately said: That smells nice. Nothing over the top in the way of fragrance. It works easily for the guys and the gals.The product wasn't greasy, but it absorbed well into my skin. I used it after a shower on my elbows, ankles, and feet: my problem areas. My feet being slippery wasn't a problem with this lotion, unlike others I tried.

Excellent Lotion
I was pleasantly surprised by how good this lotion is. The rose scent is unmistakable, and honestly the scent is a little overwhelming to my senses when first going on, but after application it starts to fade away to a subtle lingering scent relatively quickly. After the scent fades for a few minutes, you are left with a pleasant rose scent that is only detectable with nose to skin. The lotion itself is wonderful, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, soft, and smooth. There is no issue with any sticky or greasy feeling after application, and if that does happen then you're applying way too much product and need to back off to a more reasonable amount. The last thing to note about this lotion is that it doesn't irritate my mildly sensitive skin.

This lotion is gentle, soothing, and lovely. I am so thrilled by this lotion and recommend this for someone who wants to tell their most special loved one that they care or pamper themselves with a surprising spa-like cream. This is one of the most compelling lotions I have tried and it goes on like silk and leaves a light fragrance of roses. It is anti-aging and hydrating. The smell is optimistic and uplifting. This is my first time using organic doctor creams and this hopefully will not be the last. The cream is thick but absorbs quickly and keeps my skin hydrated for a very long time. I am surprised that the description of this product does not have more information about the wonderful ingredients.

This review is for the Organic Doctor Organic Rose Otto Skin Lotion, 6.8 fl.oz.To begin, I had never heard of Rose Otto oil (Oil of Rosa Damascena) prior to seeing this product. Upon doing some research, I found that this is the ingredient used to perfume rose water. It is also equivalent to the pink rose commonly called the Damask rose or Rose of Castile. There are compounds present in this oil which make it beneficial to skin. The main benefit is that it increases skin permeability and has antimicrobial properties. Smells like rose...and a lot of other ingredients.
This lotion feels nice, and is loaded with a lot of great ingredients...that cover up (or compliment, depending on your taste) the scent of rose. It's got a tang to it, maybe from the lime. I'll keep it and use it and be happy with it, but if you are looking for a pure rose smell, this isn't it.

Lovey lotion!
Smells beautiful and works wonderful! I put this on in the morning and keeps my skin hydrated for several hours. I also use a small amount on my face under my makeup.

I have loved this lotion since I first used it while living in the UK. I have used it for at least 10 years. I now buy it in the US also. I use it daily. It's the perfect lotion. Not leaving any residue, and still leaving your skin silky smooth. It must have the anti aging properties that rose otto claims, because everyone thinks I'm nearly 20 years younger than I actually am.

Scent overwhelming
The smell was overwhelming and I had to wash off the lotion and promise to never put it on again. The scent reminds me of something much older ladies might enjoy.

Great smell, works well too.
Great lotion, absorbs quickly, does not feel greasy, and has a genuine rose smell, not an artificial one. Does a great job of keeping the lizard skin at bay. I am looking forward to purchasing other scents in this line.

only like this for my legs
This is the only product from this brand that I am not crazy about for my upper body, specifically the arms. It is perfect for my super dry legs and feet, but leave my arms feeling tacky, uncomfortable, and will a scent that I don't really like. I love all the other rose scented stuff from this brand, but strangely enough, I don't like this one. Maybe mine is just off and a tube you buy may smell better. I do love how it moisturizes my legs after my shower. The moisture is very long lasting.

Overall a great skin moisturizer.
This is a very nice skin lotion offering by Organic Doctor. This skin lotion applies very easily with relatively good coverage from a moderate size amount. Leaves skin feeling quite moisturized but not greasy which can be a problem. My wife has very sensitive skin and this does not cause eczema breakouts of skin inflammation. The aroma is pretty strong but it's a nice rose smell. It definitely strong at the point of application but it doesn't travel very far if that makes sense. Overall a great value.

No Safety Seal and Strong Fragrance is Somehow Unpleasant and Unnatural
This lotion arrives without any safety seal of any kind. It has a very strong pleasant rose otto fragrance that somehow smells different than rose otto essential oil. It smells similar but somehow less natural or something. The lotion absorbed well and feels good on my skin. I could not tolerate the fragrance for very long and washed it off.

Seriously Nice For the Price!
This is lovely, moisturizing, skin softening, lightly rose scented lotion. It is absorbed quite quickly and a real pleasure to use.I've used a LOT of lotions over the many decades of my life, from common, inexpensive ones to designer names that are quite pricy. This one performs better than most of them, and for a very reasonable cost per use.The rose scent is pleasant, a bit old fashioned, and it dissipates rather quickly. My skin feels soft, smooth, moisturized, and wonderful! I love this stuff!I recommend anyone give it a try unless you hate floral and rose scents. It's so nice for the price!

Pretty dang good lotion but how it smells depends on your nose.
Maybe I just don't have a nose for rose (see what I did there?) but I really don't smell any perfume in this lotion. It mostly smells like Eucerin or those other medicated lotions (which I am unfortunately very familiar with). As to it's Bio-active properties, I really can't say as I can't find any studies about the long term effects of these types of (non essential) compounds. It does go on the skin very nicely, and does not feel greasy after a few seconds (seems to absorb quickly). It also lasts a long time compared to some that I have used. All day at least. It doesn't seem to contain as many chemicals as some but then it's hard to really tell as some are proprietary ingredients...e.g. no idea what they are. I'll put my life in their hands however and use the tube until it's gone as I do like how it feels!

The same amazing rose fragrance as Crabtree & Evelyn's Rosewater, but costs half as much.
This is the only other lotion I've come across that has the same amazing rose fragrance as Crabtree & Evelyn's Rosewater Body Lotion.  They both have a true floral rose scent, not the fake rosy smell most products have. This lotion smells exactly like a a rose flower. Its light, sweet, soft fragrance it very feminine.This lotion has no color to it which is nice if you're skin is sensitive to dyes. The cream absorbs into the skin easily and doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind at all. The lotion has a light whipped texture to it, rather than a thick buttery feel or thin, wet almost watery texture.The packaging doesn't quite do this amazing lotion justice. The bottle looks like any other ordinary lotion bottle you might find being sold anywhere from Walmart to the beauty isle of your local grocery store. But the lotion inside smells and feels like the expensive body lotions that come from specialty shops for twice as much. Absolutely divine!

Well, maybe I'll add some more. AromaMy wife says she thinks the rose smell is light but very pleasant. I think it is very strong, but very pleasant. It's not like if I got stuck in an elevator with a gal who had on too much perfume that I'm looking for the emergency phone to call 911 because I'm going to choke to death on her perfume (you know, you have someone like that in your life). Even if this is liberally applied and I was stuck in an elevator I'd think, Oh, what a great aroma. It's masking the rest of her or masking me too. ApplicationWife loves how easily this gets absorbed by the skin. We really dislike those products where you're rubbing trying to start a fire and the product acts more like a massage oil than a lotion. This one goes on easily without a lot of trouble. After feelingShe does NOT feel greasy after using this. Some products finally get rubbed in and now you're a human slip-n-slide since they leave a waxy coating. She doesn't get that at all from this, but rather a nice moisturizing feel. A day later they are still moisturized and I don't feel I need to apply more just yet.OVERALL:Nice aroma.Applies well.No greasy after-effect.Not too bad on the pocket book.Worth checking out.

Rose or Plastic?
I received a sample of this lotion and loved the delicate rose scent and thought it moisturized well. The full size lotion I ordered from Amazon unfortunately has a very plasticy scent. I assume the packaging is to blame. Still smells great on the skin after a few minutes, but I will wait for updates to the packaging before reordering.

What a difference.
This is an exceptional lotion for its modest price. I received a sample in the mail and couldn't believe the difference it made in my skin! My hands looked like they belonged to a 70-year-old, but after applying the lotion it took off about 20 years' worth of age. Definitely recommend.

To empowering for all body lotion
Its a wonderful fragrance but slightly to empowering. I applied this before bedtime and could not fall asleep for several hours! Because the fragrance was very energizing and strong which gave me a hard time to relax. I later looked at the ingredient list one more time to see that it even contains perfume.. food grade but still.. If you want to apply this all over the body I suggest another lotion that is less strong, but if its for hands, feet etc, then it should be a nice touch.
