Weleda Skin Food is a deep-penetrating replenishing skin repair cream, enriched with plant extracts and essential oils for dry patches of skin and for added winter protection.

Sunflower oil, lanolin, almond oil and beeswax are the main ingredients of the base. Skin Food also contains extracts of soothing chamomile, calendula, wild pansy to add to this blend of enriching oils and waxes to provide a fine protective barrier against the ravages of wind and weather.

Lanolin, chemically, is almost identical to sebum, the natural oil produced by the skin. It is therefore an ideal substance to ‘feed’ to dry skin. Both almond and sunflower oil soften and soothe the skin and also assist in the penetration of other soothing, rejuvenating ingredients.

Weleda Skin Food can be used as a nourishing day and night cream gentle enough to use on your face. It is good for rough, dry skin anywhere on the body; hands, elbows, knees etc. It can also be used as a protective cream in harsh weather and is excellent for anyone regularly out of doors.

Directions for use: Apply Weleda Skin Food moisturiser sparingly to dry or flaky patches of skin, gently smoothing into the skin until absorbed. If using on your face avoid the area around the eyes. This moisturiser can also be used as intensive care for hard working hands: apply liberally, cover with cotton gloves and leave to absorb into your skin overnight.
