Having previously bought the Basil and Vetiver spray bottle, I decided to buy this refill pouch and refill the bottle, as we try to avoid non recycleable plastic. Unfortunately the plastic pouch of the refill is NOT recycleable here. It is probably widely recycleable in the Netherlands where it’s made, but in the UK it is not. We can’t put this in our recycling bins, and it seems this is the case in most local authority areas. Also, there’s no alternative use for the refill pouches. Whereas the original spray bottles can be re-used AND put in the recycling bin. There is a brand which has a closed loop recycling system which allows you to send refill pouches back to them, we would rather buy their refills for this reason. However, with these Marcel’s refill pouches I feel you ought to clarify on your website that they may not be recycleable in your own country or region. Perhaps they should offer a concentrated version of the product, to be diluted?
The product itself though…. It does clean exceptionally well and is a great scent for the kitchen. We use the other scents for other parts of the house. It smells natural and not at all chemical. We will continue to buy the spray bottles, they can be re-used for other purposes once empty.
