How to use bicarbonate of soda as an oven cleaner: Mix together bicarbonate and water to form a paste. Apply the paste to the sides of the oven and leave for 12 hours. Wash off with soapy water and rinse. Alternatively, spray the sides of the oven with water, cover with sodium bicarbonate and spray on more water. Leave overnight. Remove the powder using vegetable soap, then rinse thoroughly with water.
