Seep kitchen sponges are durable, fully compostable sponges that are perfect for scrubbing dishes and wiping up spills around the home. This compostable sponge features a cellulose wood pulp sponge and raw loofah fibre top scourer which break down into harmless organic waste which are toxin-free for eco friendly cleaning that reduces waste in your household routine.

How to look after your Seep sponge:

  • Let the sponge dry out between uses to prevent mould
  • Freshen it up by washing in the dishwasher or washing machine (30 or 40 degrees C) 
  • At the end of its life, cut up the sponge (this speeds up composting) and place in your home compost bin
  • The sponge will naturally start to breakdown after around a month

I would love to buy these again, but why are they white? They get tea/coffee stained so quickly and knowing they were once white makes me feel gross about them (even though every sponge takes as much staining, it's just you can see it so clearly on these ones)

I have been using the same dish sponge for nearly 2 months and it is still in perfect condition. It is important to not leave these in the water or very wet over night as it will likely deteriorate. I squeeze mine out and leave in on the dish rack to dry over night. I have had one of a different brand that lasted for more than a year, which is way longer than the plastic sponge types.

The sponge part is really good quality but is let down by the loofah side. It does not adequately remove food debris and from pans and baking sheets. The loofah side has ripped and torn off from every sponge that I have used, they only last around a week.

These are my favourite sponges by quite some way. They are sturdy and don't fall apart like some others I've used in the past and are lovely to use. I like the scourer bit and they last a really long time.

I used these sponges for general cleaning and washing up they are brilliant and work well. When they’re past he’s they go straight in with the food waste.
I’d only advise that you wrong them out well as sitting wet can make them a bit slimy.

I buy the Seep sponges for my daughter and family. It's been difficult to find a kitchen sponge that she likes. Fortunately for me, she loves this one! It must be doing a fabulous job!
