Getting children to clean their teeth can be something of a chore for many parents, who may also be concerned about the ingredients contained in many of the products and how they will affect their kids' oral health.
However, one junior reporter has given the thumbs up to a natural baby
toothpaste from Weleda
, which in addition to tasting good, could also help him to get his teeth sparkly and clean.
According to the company, writer Leanne Coldicott asked her six-year-old son to try out Weleda
Children's Tooth Gel for an article in Green Parent magazine and he described it as tasting minty and fruity.
"It left his teeth really white and clean and he enjoyed using it. All in all, I think this is a really good first toothpaste that children will enjoy using," Ms Coldicott said.
As the tooth gel is made from 100 per cent natural ingredients, it is also harmless if kids swallow it.Weleda
Baby's Facebook group recently suggested mums try out calendula soap as it helps to maintain the skin's natural moisture balance.
