Southern Water gives away free Flush Saver bags

If you’re lucky enough to live in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire or the Isle of Wight then you can get a free water saving Save-a-Flush bag delivered to your door by the folks at Southern Water. All you have to do is ask.

Around 30% of water delivered to our homes is flushed away, but with the use of a Save-a-Flush bag you can save a litre of water every time you flush.

And if you don’t live in Southern Water’s zone you can still get a Save-a-Flush bag. We have them here at BigGreenSmile for less than £2. Pop the bag into the cistern where it will inflate and displace a litre on each flush.

And also for under £2 we have Hippo the Water Saver. This is better suited to older cisterns which hold more water. Using a Hippo can save you between 2.5 and 3 litres a flush. And if you purchase over 50 of them they’ll only cost you 95p each; and that must be some hell of a house you’ve got.
