Green buses in Manchester have teamed up with United Utilities to highlight water saving with a "You Spot It, We’ll Stop It" campaign.

Thirty hybrid electric buses have been covered in messages encouraging the public to report water leaks to United Utilities Leakline so that they can be quickly fixed.

It’s the perfect team - these new energy saving buses, introduced last September, are far more fuel efficient, cutting carbon emissions by 30 per cent. So they're the perfect medium to deliver a water saving message.

As Rose Francis from United Utilities said: "We’re really pleased to be the first company associated with Stagecoach’s hybrid buses. Our Leakline adverts help us to save water, and that has the knock-on effect of reducing energy use as well."

So don’t just wait for three leaks to come along at once. If you spot one in the street, give the Leakline a call.
