Environmental activists will be gathering at a number of landmark sites across central London this week to protest against climate change.
The Climate Camp group intends to launch a "mass swoop" on 22 sites, including Heathrow Airport, the Bank of England and the Treasury.
Industries and institutions they believe are threatening our ecological future will be targeted as part of the week-long demonstrations.
Climate Camp will begin tomorrow (Wednesday August 26th) and is expected to involve thousands of people.
The protestors have not yet revealed where their central camp will be set up, although they did say it would be in an open space in central London.
Metropolitan Police officers said they are preparing an appropriate response to the demonstrations.
Their response comes after a Christian Aid survey revealed that half of adults in the UK believe the police are too heavy handed when regulating environmental protests.
Some 18 per cent of respondents said the police response would put them off joining a demonstration in the future.
