DIY Kyoto's
energy saving device Wattson features in a video from The Union Show, an Australian broadcast dedicated to climate change and eco-friendly issues.
The brand urges its customers to "check out" its energy saving innovation in action in the video, adding: "Nice house, by the way," in a post on the DIY Kyoto blog.
In the video, a Global Green Electricians engineer demonstrates how Wattson can be used to track the power consumption of a property.
The home featured consumes around 400 W of power when its electrical devices - including the lights - are at normal usage levels.
However, switching on a single piece of equipment can add another 2,000 W to this total, as the engineer shows when he turns the oven on full.
In response, the Wattson's glow changes from purple - indicating a relatively low consumption of energy - to a red colour, returning to a bluer shade once the oven is switched off again.
