Natural cleaning can be an effective way for eco-conscious householders to cut their outgoings, it has been claimed.
Sebrina Smith, writing for greenopolis, pointed out that everyone is keen to trim their costs in any way possible, with cleaning supplies being one of the most expensive costs on the monthly shopping list.
While in some cases it can be pricier to become more eco-friendly, the writer explained that people can actually slash their expenditure by using natural
cleaning products rather than purchasing chemical-filled goods.
Some of the simplest
natural cleaning methods which householders can apply include cutting down on the use of paper towels and other cleaning cloths, she said.
She went on to recommend using Alka-Seltzer to clean pots and pans, rather than running them through the dishwasher.
"They'll also clean your jewellery," she added.
Ms Smith's advice comes after energy-saving goods expert Terry Black wrote for the Indianapolis Star that
natural cleaning can help to make a new house or apartment more environmentally friendly.
