A
natural beauty expert has said that men can enjoy the comforts of a close shave while remaining eco-friendly.
Lina Hanson, author of Eco-Beautiful: The Ultimate Guide to
Natural Beauty and Wellness, told lifestyle site USA Weekend that electric razors are more eco-friendly than disposables.
As well as the
water saving benefits offered by electric razors, she said that around two billion disposables are thrown out every year in the US and end up in landfill sites.
Instead of leaving the tap running while shaving, men should fill a bowl of water and use it to clean the blades between strokes, she added.
Ms Hanson also pointed out that some aerosol shaving cream cans may contain propellants which are harmful to the environment, so men looking for a smooth shave should use a natural skincare cream in a bottle.
Weleda's Men's Shaving Cream, which is based on pure vegetable soap and natural oils, can be found on our website for £5.50.
