Weleda and Melvita Eco products can be kind to nature in more ways than one, as brands such as Melvita and Weleda demonstrate.

You might not need to have children to care about using eco products to safeguard the future of our planet, but if you do have young ones then animal testing could be higher on the agenda.

Premium Beauty News reports on the One Voice label, a Fairtrade-style certification scheme based in France for beauty products that do not use animals in any part of their development process.

Among the brands to be certified under the scheme is Weleda, the article notes, while Melvita also features on the quality mark's shortlist of approved brands.

Premium Beauty News adds: "The most visible natural cosmetics brands are increasingly exposed to pressures from consumers and public interest groups, requiring them to extend the ethical commitments to other areas than the environment."

With the stringent testing involved in the One Voice accreditation process and the commitments made by brands such as Melvita and Weleda, ethical consumers could find they are given the peace of mind that they need to know that their beauty regime is not costing the Earth.ADNFCR-2539-ID-19670449-ADNFCR
