BBC's Springwatch programme returns to our screens this evening for this year's run. There is no Bill Oddie but Chris Patten -- the well-known wildlife photographer -- will be joining Kate Humble and Simon King. Springwatch is presented from Pensthorpe nature reserve in Norfolk and Simon King will be in Wales this year instead of Scotland.

It's always good to see British wildlife being celebrated and with so many of us expected to stay at home this year it's worth pointing out there is so much to enjoy in this country. Springwatch makes it clear you don't have to go abroad -- it's just that we tend not toappreciate what's under our noses.

If you're inspired by Springwatch and want to bring a little bit of nature into your garden check out our wildlife habitats from Wildlife World.
